It’s your special day

You should be 2 today Baby Heidi. I wish I could say happy birthday to you, hear your giggles, see you in a pretty dress, watch you get over excited and have a tantrum, wipe your sticky hands and face after cake and ice cream and battle to get you to sleep tonight because you’re overtired and had too much sugar.

But because of undiagnosed Meningitis and Sepsis, you’re not here to celebrate and it’s a sad day instead of a happy one.

Because you got no tests, care, or treatment I can’t proudly take new pictures of you to share with everyone. Instead I have to take screen shots of videos to get ‘new’ pictures of your gorgeous face.

We have made mango cupcakes today, painted and had a lovely big roast for lunch.

Not how we wanted it to be, but it’s the best we can do. 💙🦋
